Corkey North Standing Stones





The eastern stone

There are two standing stones in this townland about 100m apart. The eastern stone (D082234 [3082, 4234]) is at least 2m high by about 1.3m wide and 40cm thick. It may be of schist and forms part of a modern field boundary. The western stone (D081234 [3081, 4234]) is nearly 3m high by about 1m wide and 74cm thick at the base. It tapers to a pointed top.
