Carnagat Standing Stone

Map Reference: J0672362 (3067, 3362)

This small standing stone is about 90cm high by 40cm wide and 25cm thick. It stands on a small tuffet surrounded by a lower muddy patch created by animal action. This means that the top of the stone is about 110cm higher than the main ground level. There is no evidence to indicate the age of the stone but it has evidently been used as cattle rubbing-stone in the recent past.
