Creevagh Wedge Tomb

Map Reference: R273957 (1273, 1957)

This tomb is well preserved. The sidestones of the chamber each consist of a single slab. The roofstone rests on these and on a transverse slab which crosses the E end of the chamber. The stones just outside the W end of the chamber apparently represent outer walling. The tomb is surrounded by an irregular mound measuring roughly 11m by 8.5m.
