Gleninsheen Wedge Tomb

Map Reference: M230023 (1230, 2023)

This small roadside wedge-tomb is a very regular box-like structure. It is about 3m long by 1m square and composed of two sidestones, a backstone and a large roofstone. These are all thin, flat limestone slabs. There is no trace of a cairn. A little to the north are the remains of two other wedge-tombs, one of which is almost completely buried.
