Ardgroom Outward Stone Circle

Map Reference: V709553 (0709, 0553)



The stone circle at Ardgroom Outward consisted of eleven stones but one is now prostrate and another is missing. The stones are all tall pillars up to 2m high, less than 1m wide and less than 0.5m thick.



The standing stone, 6m to the E, may be associated with the circle. It is 2.5m tall, 1.8m wide and 0.4m thick.



About 1.5km NE, in the same townland, is another stone circle but only three stones survive.
