Loughane East Standing Stone

This standing stone was originally one of a pair. It is about 3m high by 2m wide at the base and 50cm thick. It tapers considerably. It is said that the other stone fell during a storm on Christmas Eve 1966. Local tradition holds that there were at least seven standing stones in this field.
