Bovevagh Mortuary House
Map Reference: C667141 (2667, 4141)
The graveyard at Bovevagh features the ruin of an unremarkable church probably no older than 13th century and much repaired later. Near the south-western corner is a house-shaped structure very similar to the tomb at Banagher about 14km to the south but much less well preserved.
A portion of the west gable and some of the roof is missing showing that the structure is almost solid and contains only a small rectangular chamber. There is a small hole in the east gable through which pilgrims could touch the relics of the saint or just the earth associated with it.
