Ballymunterhiggin Court Tomb

This monument is about 2km south of Ballyshannon. It is a centre-court tomb. Two two-chambered galleries open off the east and west ends of an oval court. There is a lintel over the entrance to each gallery. The court is entered from the south and two subsidiary chambers set side by side, open into the court on the north. There is a third subsidiary chamber on the west side of the entrance. The monument is greatly overgrown. The entrances to the main galleries are masked by bushes and the stones are covered in moss and lichen.
