Magheracar Megalithic Tombs
At Magheracar, about 2km west of Bundoran, there are two monuments. A passage-tomb (G795588 [1795,3588]), about 4m long and 1m wide, is set in the remains of a circular kerb, about half of which has vanished into the sea. About 16 boulders still form the southern side of the kerb. There is no surviving cairn.
Close to this site a number of low stones form the remains of a wedge-tomb (G796587 [1796,3597]). Parts of a gallery and outer walling can be distinguished.
The gallery is about 4m and 1m wide. It sits in the middle of a low mound about 15m diameter.
