Map Reference: J564382 (3564, 3382)

Location: About 1km NE of Ardglass, visible from A2. Signposted

This ruined church was dedicated to St Nicholas and probably served as the parish church for Ardglass. The style of building suggests that it belongs to the 15th century. The east end of the building stands almost to full height but the west end has been reduced to foundation level. The church has opposite north and south doors.

The north Doorway

The north door opening is almost intact and there are fragments of the jamb stones in place. There is also a good drawbar socket.

The drawbar socket

The window opening in the east gable would indicate the former presence of a large traceried window.

The east gable

There were smaller window in the N and S walls.
