Bangor Market House

Bangor Market House is a two-storey five-bay building with a parapet. The central three bays break forward and are topped by a pediment containing a clock. The building may have been erected about 1810 although some sources suggest that it was built about 1780. The original building had a low single-storey tower behind the parapet. This was topped by a cupola. There is now no trace of the tower. The building was used as a school and extended. It is now the Northern Bank.
