Raholp Church

Map Reference: J540479 (3540, 3479)

This small church measures about 7m by 4m internally. It is said to have been founded by St Patrick. The actual date of construction is unknown but it is probably no earlier than the 10th century.

The lintelled west doorway is probably original and the opposing north and south doorways may be later modifications. There is a narrow window near the NE corner and the narrow east window is flanked by ambries. The church was excavated in 1915 and extensively restored.
