Saval More Standing Stones

Map Reference: J122312 (3122, 3312)

At Saval More, in the private graveyard of the Gordon family, are two standing stones. The larger, eastern stone is 2.2m high by 90cm wide and 50cm thick. It is roughly rhomboidal on plan. It is separated by a gap of about 2.4m from the western stone which is about 1.8m high by 60cm square and roughly rectangular on plan.

The alignment of the axes of these two stones suggest that they may be part of a curved alignment, possibly part of the forecourt of a court tomb. There is no cairn material nor any other large stones evident.

About 100m to the south-west is a single stone about 1.83m high by 75cm wide 50cm thick.
