Drumskinny Stone Circle

Map Reference: H201707 (2201, 3707)

The site was excavated in 1962 and the monument consists of a circle of 39 stones, 12.8m in diameter. Beside it is a small round cairn at the end of an alignment of 24 stones, 7.6m long. The alignment is tangentially placed in relation to the main stone circle but does not touch it. All the stones are fairly small and the monument seems to be of the same general type as the Beaghmore Stone Circles, Co Tyrone and may date from the Bronze Age.
