Minard West Wedge Tomb

Map reference: V526997 (0526, 0997)

The remains of this tomb consist of a narrow wedge-shaped gallery 3.5m long and about 60cm wide. It is orientated N-S. There is a portico at the south separated from the main chamber by a septal-stone. The east side is represented by two stones and the west side by six stones.

A partly exposed stone to the west may be part of the outer walling. A single roofstone covers the south end of the burial chamber. There are some traces of a low cairn to the east and west of the gallery.
