Map Reference: R614472 (1614, 1472)
Williamstown castle was erected by the Bourke family but the date is not known.
The castle was renovated and restored by the Messrs Pain architects. It is
currently for sale and therefore no access is allowed. The castle stands at the edge of a bawn which appears to be modern (19th century or later).
There is a good round bartizan at one corner and a triple chimney stack at the opposite corner. The building appears to be in good condition but daylight showing through one of the upper windows suggests that the roof is missing.
