Drogheda Cornmarket Yard

Drogheda Market Yard has a two-storey three-bay central block with a pyramidal roof capped by a square louvred cupola. At the ground floor there are three round-headed arches and at the upper floor there are three rectangular windows. This block is flanked by two single-storey three-bay wings. The central bay of each wing breaks forward and has a large segmental archway. At the end of each wing is the three-bay gable of the side ranges of the market yard. It was designed by Francis Johnston and built in 1796.
