Ballinrobe Market House

Map Reference: M192645 (1192, 2644)

This five-bay two-storey market house stands facing the end of Glebe Street. It is surmounted by a dormered pediment. This contains a clock which is flanked by two quarter-circle windows. This pediment is topped by an octagonal cupola. This architectural arrangement may be seen also at Westport Market House. The lower storey is occupied mainly by a fishing tackle shop but the upper storey still seems to be used for Court business.
