The Dowdall Cross, Duleek

Map Reference: O046683 (3046, 2683)

At the edge of the town is a memorial cross erected in 1601 by Jennett Dowdall. It is similar in design to the crosses at Carrickdexter and Gaulstown.



It is richly carved with many saints, the Bathe coat of arms and a lengthy inscription.
