Two Pot House





A pump may have stood on this site for more than 100 years. Certainly there was one indicated on the old OS map from about 1900. This may not be the same pump.



The cap does not appear to be original. If you look carefully at the photos you will see that the metal used in its construction is a thinner gauge than the rest of the pump. The outer portion of the spout may not be original. The bucket-hook is unlike any other.



The markings on the shaft of the pump consist of decoration which may be a harp but probably not. Beneath this are the letters HB fused together. This may be the maker's initials but current sources of information fail to solve the mystery.
