Stacumny

The design of this pump is fairly common. The spout has leaf decoration on the inner section with a plain outer section. The finial on the lid is a small bump instead of the more common spike. The handle has a closed tear-drop loop which is found in some other pumps but is not common.

I have been informed that it was used a lot up to 1974 by a family with fourteen children who lived in a gatelodge with no running water. In earlier times it was used to pump water into the horse trough. It still works if you pour water into it but it needs a new washer.

All the photos and the history of the pump have been provided by Olive Wardell. Thank you very much, Olive.
