Ballyclovan

This pump has a cylindrical shaft with a single raised band. The large head is plain, as is the spout. The lid is a ribbed dome but the finial is missing. The curved handle has an eye- loop terminal. The pump has an inscription which reads Kelly and Son, Engineers, Kilkenny. The pump is similar to the one at nearby Lakyle.

James Kelly seems to have had a foundry at St Canice's Place, Kilkenny in the 1890s. They are also listed as engineers.
