This pump was made in the Park Foundry, Waterford. The cylindrical shaft has a single raised band but the pump is otherwise plain, except for the lid. This has a fluted dome topped by an acorn finial. The curved handle has a ball terminal. The pump stands in the street outside the school.
I have been unable to find out anything definite about the Park Foundry. A street directory of 1897 shows the Neptune Iron Foundry at Waterpark. The Waterford Iron Foundry was at Bilberry.
I recently (April 2016) found out that the Park Foundry stood a short distance north of Waterford Courthouse.
