Carlingford Hydrants

There are at least three hydrants in Carlingford village. All of them are made by Glenfield & Kennedy, Kilmarnock. The first is in the south of the village near the Catholic church. It is missing its finial. Just beside it is a cover for a fire hydrant. It is inscribed Glenfield, Kilmarnock.

The second hyrant is near the centre of the village. It is painted black and silver. It is close to the Antiques Market which has a good selection of original pumps, and some replicas, for sale.

The third hydrant is in a back lane close to the north side of the village.
