Omeath

This pump is inscribed E Manisty & Co Ltd, Dundalk. Manisty is listed in a directory of 1931 as having an iron works in Market Square, Dundalk. The pump is similar to those produced by the Park Street Foundry but it does not have the octagonal lower section or the bands and ribs on the spout.

Just across the road from the pump is a hydrant made by Glenfield & Kennedy. The finial and the handle are not typical G&K and may be replacements. There is a similar hydrant near the north end of the village.

A short distance further north is another pump. It does not have a maker's name but it is similar in design to some of the later pumps produced by Park Street Foundry, Dundalk.
