Whiterath

This pump was made by George Smith & Co., Sun Foundry, Glasgow. It has a plain shaft with one raised band just below the head.

The head is bulbous and the spout has foliate decoration. The cap does not appear to be original and looks like a typical fluted and spiked cap associated with Joseph Evans, Lee Howl and their clones.

The ogee-curved handle has an open-loop terminal with tail.

A short distance away is another pump which is identical to the pump at nearby Dromiskin. The only minor difference is that the teminal to the handle is lemon-shaped rather than pear-shaped.

It was also supplied by John Collins, Shop Street, Drogheda.
