The body of this hydrant tapers, unlike the standard Glenfield and Kennedy design which has parallel sides. Hydrants of this design are found in many places in Ireland but it does not have a maker’s name. It has a fluted and domed lid similar to the G&K hydrants but without the acorn finial which has been replaced by a modern tap. There are remains of a bucket shelf.
