A small pump with the piston-rod through the lid, which is now missing. There is a long horizontal spout with a short end at right angles. It is undecorated and has a good bucket-hook. The head of the pump has a raised hexagonal panel which encloses a letter B or possible P. The pump stands in the middle of Carlanstown and the amount of lichen covering it seems to indicate a certain amount of antiquity.
