Rockcorry

This is a standard pump design with the flag symbol of Lee, Howl & Co., Staffordshire. It has three raised bands on the shaft and foliate decoration on the inner half of the spout. there is a good ram's horn bucket hook and the usual fluted ogee cap with spike. The handle has a small ball terminal.

Beside it stands a hydrant of standard Glenfield & Kennedy design. However the G&K inscription does not appear on any of the usual places. There is a small patch on the shaft which may contain an illegible inscription. This hydrant may have been made by the Shannon Foundry, Limerick, which was responsible for the hydrant in Newbliss.
