Creevykeel Court Tomb

Map Reference: G721546 (1721, 3546)

This is a full-court tomb. The large oval court is entered through a short passage at the eastern end of a large trapezoidal cairn.

A two-chambered gallery opens under a lintel onto the western end of the court and there are remains of three single-chambered subsidiary tombs in the western end of the cairn.

In the NW part of the court are the remains of a kiln, dating from Early Christian times, where iron-smelting was carried out.
