Deerpark Court Tomb

Magheraghanrush (or Deerpark) is one of the finest centre court tombs in Ireland. Two burial galleries extend eastwards from the court and a third gallery extend towards the west.



All the galleries have two chambers. The oval court is about 15m long and the entrance is in the south. One of the east galleries has a broken lintel above the jamb-stones.



The monument is about 30m long and consists mainly of large boulders. Any remaining smaller stones from the cairn are covered with grass and turf.
