Ally Court tomb

Map Reference: H257724 (2257, 3724)

This tomb is set in a cairn about 35m long and 15m wide, aligned N-S. The court, at the northern end, is not easily discernible, being incorporated into a modern sheepfold. The most noticeable feature of the monument is a large, thick lintel stone over the entrance to the burial chambers. The gallery is about 7m long and 2m wide. There are two side chambers but they were not noticeable on the occasion of my visit. There is a great deal of cairn material. A closer inspection will be needed.
