Wellbrook Beetling Mill
Map Reference: H750792 (2750, 3792)
The Wellbrook Beetling Mill was built in the 1760s by the Black Family and ceased operating commercially in 1961. It is a seven -bay two-storey building which contained seven beetling engines. Two of these still work. The power comes from an external breastshot wheel and there are extensive associated waterworks.
The mill is now owned by the National Trust and contains displays outlining the processing of flax. Beside the mill is a single-storey mill keeper's house.
